A component-by-component approach to getting your specification right.

A headband should not be described with one generic “material” when it is constructed from several components. The fabric wrapping, the resin support and decorative elements serve different roles. Good product data makes these layers visible instead of combining them under “cloth.”
Specify materials by component
| Component | What to record | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Outer textile | Fabric type and confirmed fiber composition | Hand feel, color, care, durability and appearance |
| Internal core | Confirmed resin / plastic grade, width, flexibility and teeth | Fit, strength, comfort and repeatability |
| Padding / grip | Foam, lining, teeth, ends and bonding method | Wearability, construction and handling |
| Decoration | Actual stone, bead, button and attachment composition | Claims, light reflection, weight and durability |
| Packaging | Card, polybag, box and master carton separately | Labeling, shelf presentation and shipping |
Acrylic stones are not glass stones
Decorative pieces may be described in listings as rhinestones or crystals, but those words do not establish material composition. WLACC has specifically confirmed acrylic decorative stones on its WL-037 embellished headband. Therefore the accurate component description for that style is acrylic decorative stones, not glass rhinestones or gemstones.
For WL-035, use the clear description decorative beads. Do not call them acrylic gems, glass pearls or gemstones merely from their appearance.
Cloth, satin and linen-look are not identical material statements
“Satin” describes a weave or surface character, not a complete fiber specification. “Linen-look” may describe appearance without proving linen content. “Velvet” and “mesh” likewise need their fiber compositions checked if the buyer requires formal material declarations. Ask for a component-level bill of materials before printing labels.
How to read WLACC headband dimensions
WLACC lists length × width × height in centimeters as headband body dimensions for each product. Shipping and retail carton requirements are discussed separately when quoting an order.
Supplier material confirmation checklist
- Written material composition and supporting evidence for required claims
- Photographs of all trims, teeth and ends
- Color reference per variant, not just “assorted colors”
- Approved sample number and revision
- Labeling and market-specific requirements checked for your destination
This guide describes the information buyers should request. It does not claim that every WLACC style has verified fiber, plastic grade or laboratory certification.
Buyer questions
Are all rhinestones made from glass?
No. Decorative stones can be made from different materials. WL-037 acrylic trim is seller-confirmed; do not generalize that claim to unrelated products.
What do the L × W × H measurements on WLACC product pages represent?
They show the headband body dimensions, in centimeters. Shipping packaging measurements are handled separately.
